The letter E starts many words children already enjoy. They can color a gentle elephant with big ears, an egg with a surprise inside, a soaring eagle, an envelope with a stamp, the planet Earth or an elf in a snowy forest. Each picture gives parents and teachers a chance to introduce a new word while the child gets familiar with the letter.
These are cute coloring pages for kids. Some show one large letter with thick, simple outlines, which suits younger children. Others are detailed coloring pictures with backgrounds and patterns for kids who like to take their time.

Uppercase E and Lowercase e Coloring Pages
Lowercase e looks quite different from the capital E, so seeing both on the same page helps children connect them. The capital E has one tall line and three short arms. The lowercase e is a single curve with a little line across the middle, like a circle with a smile.
Print one uppercase E page and one lowercase e page, then ask your child to compare them. Which one has straight lines? Which one is round? Many children enjoy noticing the little loop inside the small letter e. Older kids can circle every E and e they find on the page with different colors.
Letter E Coloring Pages for Toddlers
The big uppercase E pages are made for beginners. These easy coloring pages are built from straight lines, so they are simple to color, and the thick outlines are friendly for small hands that are still learning to hold a crayon.
Point to the three short lines and count them with your child: “One, two, three arms!” Keep sessions short, since five minutes of happy coloring is plenty at this age.
Letter E Coloring Pages for Preschool
The picture pages are the highlight at this age. Color the elephant and talk about its big ears and long trunk. Then try the egg page, which is a favorite because kids can decide what is hatching out of it. A chick, a dinosaur or a dragon are all good guesses.
Say “e, e, elephant” as you color so the sound connects to the picture. Ask questions along the way. What sound does an elephant make? What color would you make the egg? Talking while coloring builds vocabulary and keeps the activity relaxed. If your child loves water creatures, our axolotl coloring pages are another fun set to explore alongside the egg page.
Letter E Tracing and Coloring Pages for Kindergarten
For children who are ready to write, the coloring and tracing pages have dotted lines to follow. The straight lines of capital E are good practice for beginners. Teach the order: one long line down, then three short lines going across, top, middle and bottom.
The curved lowercase e is a nice next challenge. Start in the middle, go across, then curve up and around. Let wobbly writers trace with a finger first, then a crayon, then a pencil.

Printing Tips for Letter E Coloring Pages
Standard white paper is great for crayons and colored pencils. Use heavier paper for markers so the ink does not show through. If your printer cuts off the edges, choose “Fit to page” in your print settings. Draft mode saves ink and the outlines still print clearly. The files are made for US Letter and fit A4 with standard settings.
